they formed when i was camping out in the hot desert, after a few weeks sleeping in a sleeping bag, hot weather and no brush.. my hair started to matt…. after that i just tended to them a bit by rolling and sectioning.
Even to this day i do not maintain or upkeep them often… maybe once a month? i use a crochet hook to tighten them and water wash them, but thats about it. I have a horrible habit of letting my hair matt and go wild….
