i usually let the natural process of decay strip the bones for me, if however i want the bones right away i would boil the carcass for a few hours, allow the meat to plump, and tenderize making it much easier to strip… you can also use a cold soak for the body but instead of waiting a few hours you would wait a few days.
As for the alcohol, i use the highest proof or rubbing alcohol i can find which usually ends up being 70 proof, but it still works well : )
